As someone who has been an active Pokemon fan since the X and Y days, the announcement for Legends Z-A was probably the craziest that I’ve ever went for a game. I even waited at midnight to snag a copy but upon initially playing it, I was disappointed.
The battle system in this game is real time as opposed to turn-based which I saw as a refreshing change but that’s not what frustrated me. The game holds your hand for 2-3 hours and none of the real fun stuff comes until about 5 hours into the game. Once you go from rank V to F, this game becomes easily the best Pokemon game on Switch. The story becomes compelling, the characters are so full of life, and you can do whatever you want such as side quests if you want a break from the main story. The new mega evolutions are really cool and the rouge mega battles are reminiscent of the alpha battles in Legends Arceus. The city goes from feeling dull to being filled with so much character. Little things such as battling previously interacted Npcs in the ZA battle zones made smile upon discovery.
I want to say that this game is one of the best in the franchise but there’s a lot holding it back from reaching that status. Until the DLC for ZA releases, my opinion will still stand that this game is only worth it for those who are invested into the story of Pokemon.

The Farmer Was Replaced is a coding based game that helps teach people some of the basics of coding in game form. It was developed and published by Timon Herzog. The overall gameplay has players learning some basic codes for the game to progress and learn how to do certain actions and grow as they will soon automate the farm through code itself. While this game is not made for everyone, it is made for gamers who want to know a little bit more about coding, using gaming as the tool for education.

Before diving into this game for myself I had already played what is considered to be the main franchise of silent hill that being 1-4 which all take place in the town of silent hill. Unlike those games though F does not do this instead it takes place in a rural town located in Japan called Ebisugaoka at around the year 1960 and follows a young school girl named Hinako. The town is soon then sent into what I like to call the "influence of the entity" and is engulfed by fog and completely abandoned. You're simply tasked with finding out why and unfortunately for you that abandoned town i had mentioned before just a bit ago is now filled with grotesque monsters that seem to only have one desire and that is to kill you.
Now unlike the previous 4 silent hill games i mentioned before there is not a single firearm in this entry instead melee weapons are the primary focus now having been in the series since the first entry but due to this focus balancing that with gameplay had to be added so these weapons can only be used so many times before they break and must be replaced. As for the atmosphere of the game it still retains that eerie setting that the series is known for but ads its own twist on it instead that being a more organic growth like sickness that infests the town instead of the rusted mechanical and industrial world that you would occasionally be brought into within the world of silent hill. The games story itself did a great job at reeling me in to the point where i wanted to read the notes left behind that i would find if i explored the world to find out more about it.
Overall for a game that attempted to try something new i would say it succeeded so I would definitely recommend this game to any horror fan out there or any silent hill fan .

So I'll be honest with y'all, not a big platformer fan, not in general anyways, but my game design teacher suggested me this a while back and I gave it a try.
A simple game with simple mechanics but allowing for a lot more player expression than one first thinks. You play as a contract killer working for a mysterious organization, however you are peculiar, in a modern world of guns you use a sword, and have the ability to slow down time, as well as make incredibly accurate predictions. From there you go on multiple contracts, taking out people and fulfilling requests, learning about your abilities and the world around you.
All in all, a very enjoyable experience, you'll find the controls easy to handle, and the gameplay is extremely satisfying. The story wasn't what brought me in at the start, but by the end it did have me hooked. I'll give this game a solid 9/10 but I recommend judging it for yourself!
Compatibility: Mac OS, Windows OS
Specs Needed: Very light, my potato laptop could run it.
Price Point: 15 dollars isn't too bad, game takes around 3~4 hours to complete if you're decent, and it has a decent bit of replayability!
